Appointment of Board Member
Pursuant to Collington Bylaws Article IV, Section 5. If a vacancy occurs on the Board of Directors, the remaining directors may appoint a Member to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the director’s term or until the next annual meeting, whichever occurs first.
The process to do this shall be the following:

Pursuant to Collington Bylaws Article IV, Section 5. If a vacancy occurs on the Board of Directors, the remaining directors may appoint a Member to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the director’s term or until the next annual meeting, whichever occurs first.
The process to do this shall be the following:
- The board shall announce the vacancy that has occured at the next regular board meeting.
- The board of directors shall solicit from the community by mass email, social media and web page the opening of such position on the board of directors.
- The posting of the solicitation shall occur within 5 days of the announcement at the regular board meeting.
- The posting of the solicitation shall close no less than 10 days from the date of the solicitation of the vacancy and no more than 25 days from the date of the solicitation.
- The board of directors shall hold an executive session with the interested parties to interview and gain information.
- The board shall meet in executive session and appoint the member to the position.
Responsibilities
Responsibility of Appointed Board Member.
Serve as a member-at-large.
(i) represent the general interests of the membership;
(ii) handle special projects and
(iii) assist with other Association business as determined by the Board.
