July's Yard of the Month winners are the Reid family at 14719 Collington Turn. Robert and Jana have lived in their lovely home since 2005. They were both thrilled to have been chosen, but Jana laughingly said that the yard is Robert's domain. Clearly it is his pride and joy! The loving care and hard work he has put into it is impressive. He has personally planted in numerous trees and shrubs throughout the property. Like many of us, he has challenging areas in his yard and he has learned that finding the right plant for the right spot (and having patience) are the keys to success. Choosing larger specimens when possible also seems to help them to succeed. He has created a picturesque front yard and an oasis of privacy and charm in the back. Among the many beautiful trees in his yard, the towering Magnolia in the front corner bed close to the house is among his favorites. Congratulations to the Reids - hard work, patience and a green thumb clearly have their rewards!
